Am I the only one who has noticed how complex Santana is? Personally i think she is the most complex character they have on they show. She puts up this macho front that she doesnt care what anybody thinks of her, but ultimately i think shes wayyy more insecure than she lets on. And despite the Brittana confession where she states her bitchiness is caused by her sexual confusion and fear, I think she is also continuely bitchy because she knows that if shes not people will step all over her, because shes been a bitch in the past. *domino effect* Does anybody else see this?

I do think that Santana is the most complex character that they have. She has done so many things that don't fit with the persona she has created for herself. It's not even just this season that she has show those sides. If you watch some of the back 9 of the first season and stop to think about some of the things she must have orchestrated you see that there is a lot more there. Watch Home and think about the Beautiful performance. That was a Cheerios number that Santana must have completely down for doing. She's head cheerleader at this moment and she did something that Sue would never have been ok with. That was telling in my book. Season 2 rolls around and we are assulted with the insecurity that is in Santana. Walls are built by people to protect themselves and Santana's seem to trap her in a prison. She wants someone to notice her. She wants to be seen but constantly does everything in her power to keep them away and from seeing what is really going on inside of her. I'm excited and scared for her story to be really flushed out because I don't like to see characters I care about suffer but I am amazed at the depth Naya can give to the performance.

Even since season one I've thought it was true. She's a huge paradigm revolving mostly around her inconsistencies in interaction with Brittany compared to everyone else.

She is most def the most complex character in the show and I think its good that Santana is now a main character. I think that going into the end of the season Santana and Brittany will be the 2 "Main" characters of the show to develop and show the outcome of their relationship.

You're not the only one here, I think we're a lot to have noticed the complexity of Santana.
I just hope that what's coming next won't ruin it. Season 2 went everywhere and nowhere at the same time for me, fortunately for us, Santana has been spared for now.

It seems like they are searching for a way to redeem Santana's character somewhat regarding her bullying in the past yet still the writers want to keep access towards her snarky remarks.

I kind of wish her "It means dwarf, you ass" line to Finn in The Spanish Teacher hadn't been delivered quite so viciously. I don't like Finn most of the time, but snapping at him like that over something so trivial seems odd after they hugged it out in I Hugged A Girl.

The writers shouldn't have had her blame all her anger on not being out if they are going to continue to make her angry even though she's out and in a relationship with the girl she loves. Snark is fine, but pure viciousness for no reason, not so much. Especially when it's not even delivered in clever insult form. "You ass"? Lazy writing, yet again.

I have yet not seen an episode beyond 3x08 with the amazing "We Are Young"-performance and for me it felt like that was a good moment to start Santana's evolution away from her bitchy self, certainly towards the Glee-club members. She has experienced so much by their side now and Rachel grabbing her by the hand was the moment for her to fully accept these bunch of misfits as her true friends.
