Glee‘s latest trip to Nationals is shaping up to be a real monster ball. TVLine has obtained the set list for the May 15 singoff, and it includes Lady Gaga‘s smash, “Edge of Glory.”
But who’ll be stepping into the pop star’s platform boots? And, for that matter, what other numbers are up?
The all-female Troubletones will be belting out “Glory,” thus fanning the flames of the Fox hit’s obsession with Gaga. And the erstwhile Stefani Germanotti won’t be the only diva getting her due during the two-hour episode: Rachel will perform a cover of Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” and New Directions are serving Meat Loaf’s “Paradise By the Dashboard Light.” (Fun fact: Loaf also covered “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”)
As previously reported, Lindsay Lohan will play one of the judges at Nationals.

Wasn't the theme supposed to be vintage. Other than Meatloaf they aren't really vintage.

I thought of that too. The idea of having a set theme for nationals seemed kind of dumb to me anyway, although I wouldn't have a problem with them doing older songs. But I guess they were just using that as an excuse to disco, and it's something we're supposed to forget about.

Not that excited about "Edge of Glory" or the Meatloaf song, but I like that Celine song and with Rachel singing it, it'll be great. Still, these choices aren't nearly up to par with what I was hoping for Nationals, and last competition for atleast half the kids.

I've been wanting the gang to sing The Edge of Glory for a while, one of my favorite current Gaga songs, and I think they'd do her justice!

Decent list so far, I was hoping for some chicago songs, but you can't always get what you want.

I'll probably end up liking it because it's a TT number, but I'm just not crazy about that Gaga song, or any Gaga songs for that matter. But I don't dislike it, so as long as Britt's not singing lead on it, it'll be good. I just feel like there's so many better songs they could have chosen.

The show must go all over the place, or something.

I feel exactly the same.

Anyway, high hopes on Lea killing that Celine song, and based on that leaked video the Meat Loaf one sounds quite good. The gaga part is the missed chance, they could've picked something more Nationals-worthy, but whatever, i guess they need the pop dosis for Itunes sales...

Also, Tongue Tied & We Are The Champions were on that leaked pamphlet, so Second Round anyone?

I'm glad Rachel's getting a solo. And Edge of Glory is my favorite Gaga song. I wanted a Finchel duet, but overall I'm not disappointed.

I am happy with the setlist.

I have no idea who MeatLoaf is but he's vintage so awesome for the continuity.
And the 'Paradise...' song on YouTube sounds so anthem-like.

Lea will kill the Celine Dion song for sure.

I love Lady Gaga (proud to be a monster), and Edge of Glory is a powerful song. And I actually didn't care for the theme (although some continuity would be nice). I just want ND to sing WATC so much, but I don't think they'll sing that much (except if there's really a showcase round, which is rarely happening).

If "Rumours" hadn't been an album tribute episode, this song would have been perfect.

Looking forward to the Meatloaf and Tongue Tied.

The Edge of Glory is probably my most anticipated song, so happy Tina is singing on it.

If the programme is accurate, and The Edge Of Glory is to be the Troubletones guaranteed number, it's interesting that Tina and Quinn are listed as performing it but Mercedes isn't. I wonder if the Troubletones waive their claim to a number of their own, and it ends up being a number that features all but two of the girls.

It was reported by someone on the audience, that Mercedes actually sings on EOG. It's a TT dancers + ND Girls (minus Lea) Number. :)
