Im so happy that I never listened to Take Me To Church save for when MAtt McAndew sang it on the voice, so now I can really really appreciate the gem that is this Glee cover

1. Chandelier - Superb vocals, first and foremost.  As a bonus, I haven't laughed that hard at anything on Glee in ages!

2. Take Me to Church - Pure ear candy.  Loved it!

3. Listen to Your Heart - It was great to experience Lea actually singing with someone else for a change, instead of just trying to upstage and out-bellow them. She and Groff are well matched vocally, and looked like they were enjoying themselves.  I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

Tie for distant 4th: Everything else.   I'm old enough to remember when those songs were hits, and I didn't like them then, either :P

Tortured choice between Listen to Your Heart or Take Me To Church but, in the end I went for Noah Guthrie's performance because I didn't know the song at all and really enjoyed it whereas I "overheard" Roxette as a teenager :)

I enjoyed all the songs this week though and the performances all improved the vocals for me.

  1. Take Me to Church
  2. We Built This City
  3. Mickey
  4. Come Sail Away
  5. Chandelier
  6. Listen to Your Heart.

Roderick is one of my favorite male Glee singers. I'm so glad he got a big part at Sectionals. Take Me to Church is a beautiful song and Noah's voice made gave it a different feel that made it great in a different way. We Built This City had a lot of energy and the vocals were on point. Mickey is just really fun to listen to. Come Sail Away was very nice. Madison and Kitty sounded great in Chandelier. Listen to Your Heart was a nice duet. All of the songs were great this episode.

1. Listen to Your Heart: I didn't see the previews for this episode, so I got to be genuinely surprised when Jesse showed up to sing with Rachel. It was the St. Berry duet I had been waiting years for. It fit perfectly with the plot and Rachel's thoughts and feelings. It was vocal perfection.

2. Come Sail Away: I almost cried when they sang this because the sound took me back to the Originals, and how they sounded when they found their unity, and just sang their hearts out, competition or not. These kids were having fun amd sounded GREAT doing it.

3. We Built This City. Ok I'm a huge fan of Rock of Ages. I'm a sucker for this song, and VA did not disappoint. It gets stuck in my head periodically.

4. Chandelier: This was well done. I loved Spencer swinging from a chandelier, and that this song was about the Ladies.

5. Take Me to Church: It was good, but it didn't move me as much as I expected.

6. Mickey: Eh. No.
