Well, since there's threads here for other groups of global Gleeks, I thought I'd start one for us Canadian fans. So let's start with a little "get to know you" kind of thing

1. Where in Canada are you?

2. What got you into Glee?

3. Who are your favorite characters?

As well, any news regarding Glee can be shared here. If that Glee news includes Canada, then that's even better!

1) VANCOUVER

2) Saw a lot of commercials when Fox was promoting Glee for their Fall lineup. I imdb'd the show and watched the first episode... and the rest is history

3) HMMM I love them all, but my favourites are Rachel, Finn, Emma, and Brittany. OH and I love Mike (go asians!), but he seriously needs more screen time.

I've actually been a long time gleek and prowled around gleeforum for quite some time but never posted.
HOWEVER, I've decided to start contributing my thoughts and give back to this amazing site
Hopefully everyone will be seeing a lot more of me on the forums

1) I'm in Toronto Ontario

2) Saw the commercials and then I watched the first episode and I was hooked, I'm a huge fan of musicals they add emotional depth to any story.

3) Definitely Rachel, Mercedes and Kurt oh and Sue Sylvester but honestly I love em all!!!!

The finale was amazing! I can't wait for the new season, I auditioned for the show and am hoping and praying for a call back.

I'm in Ontario ... I kinda float all over the place.

I watched the pilot when it aired in the spring and I was sold.

I cant choose favourite characters. I love them all and I can easily pick out parts of me in each of them which makes it harder. :\

Glee news? ETCanada is apparently sharing spoilers of S2 on tonights show, hah, thats the best I can do right now.

2. I kept seeing the commercials, then I checked it out on the FOX website, and watched the first Episode I ever watched, Ballad (<3). I was interested in the show, and also Kurt's staoryline, but forgot about it for a couple of weeks until I decided to watch again. The second one I watched was Mashup, and since I was confused at the storyline, I went out and got the DVD the next night, finished it in two days

3. Kurt and Artie. But I love them all, those are just the ones I loved since the beginning.

GTA in Ontario.

I mentioned this several times, "The Power of Madonna" and was the episode that got me into this show. Afterwards, I spent Friday/Saturday catching up. Now, it's my favorite TV Show & Music to listen to, except EMINEM this is all I watch/listen on my iMac, iPad and iPod for the past few months. LOL

The Power of Madonna (41) and Last Christmas (118) are my highest play count on iTunes.

As for favorite characters...

Finn, Rachel, Artie, Sue and Brittany. I was shocked when I read on last month's (with Jane Lynch on the Cover) Entertainment Weekly that she wasn't originally cast and Fox Producers told Ryan Murphy/Creators they wanted a "Villain."

My mom randomly decided to record it, first time I watched it, I fell instantly in love <3

I LOVE almost every character but my favourites are Mr.Schu, Artie, and Rachel!!!

Glee is AMAZING and I really wish they would do more stuff here in Canada

I, like most of you here, love everything about music. Despite not always covering the types of music I particularly like, the talent from some of the cast can make almost anyone like pop music. So when I saw the 2 spring's ago, I knew I had to check out the pilot, and it was great.

Rachel for sure.

TBH all the news I would like to hear, is that they are coming to Ontario to perform on their next tour.

2. Funny story. (Not really.) I was just randomly switching channels, saw a close-up of Lea during Wheels and went on a spazz saying, "OMFG, IT'S IDINA MENZEL." I paused and then realized it was actually Lea Michele from Spring Awakening and decided to give the show a try. Clearly, I've become an obsessed freak.

I kept hearing somebody to love on those Global commercials back in September.. one day I was in front of my computer with the tv on in the background and it came on.. so I watched it.. and that's that

It's a tie between Quinn and Brittany.. but I kinda like them all anyways..

I re-watched the 40 years old virgin and thought Jane Lynch was amazing so I Imdb'ed her and found out she was on a TV show, so I hit the itunes store to catch up the episode I had missed.

3. Who are your favorite characters?
Rachel and Sue. Both for very different reasons... I guess Sue cause she's so funny . And I couldn't even explain why I like Rachel so much... except that her personality is awesome.(Finn and Kurt come in 2nd position)

I randomly downloaded the pilot off iTunes, I enjoyed it but actually kind of forgot about it for a few months while real life was kicking my butt. But I caught a marathon on tv and got hooked.

Kurt and Sue, but really I like them all.

My local Zellers had a random shipment in this past week. I bought my jacket right away because everything was sold out in February. Well, I didn't get the exact same jacket (mine's fleece instead of quilted), but it's close enough!
